All of the talk about the advantages of semi-deep got me curious on how much extra clearance you really get. For a SO 3/8" drive 6-point 19mm socket, here are the numbers. I note that semi-deep only gives you an extra 6.4mm of clearance over shallow. Whereas deep it's a 32.7mm difference. So...
