My FIL this this exact thing to his enclosed front porch a couple years ago. The house is 120+ years old, sometime in the early 1900's it was enclosed in windows all the way around. Before he started, only a couple of them still opened, and the side windows were noticeably visually not square...

Probably has already been painted, but Ford New Holland blue (farm implement paint) is also quite close, easy to find, and should be easy to touch up in the future.

I put a metal roof on my fathers house probably 10 years go. We used fanfold insulation and the steel on top of that, it worked pretty good. Very quiet in rain and hail. The old shingles were worn but still flat, so we went right over the top. No problems.

Aquaticbob, you are a real standup guy for doing all the legwork for this, I'm in for one.
