I have a set of 1/2" standard 12 point I rarely use, but I have a set of 1/2" deep impact that are used all the time. Same with 3/8" drive. I grab impact guns to do 90% of the wrenching I do, so shallows get used where an impact doesn't fit.

Same here, I don't own one and will never buy another. When I did HVAC service I went through 2 or 3 of them and I got so many false readings i stopped buying them. I fail to understand the need for a tool you can not trust.

The TSC near me has quite a bit of hardware, PTO parts, bearings and more. I would expect them to have a good selection of zerks. Depending on how bad I needed them I still might order from Amazon and wait a couple days, instead of the twenty mile round trip. NAPA would be another choice.
