Looks like I am going to do the same thing now. I am quite disappointed to discover this. I still can't bring myself to pay new prices for many American tool brands though :-|

Just purchased the harbor freight jack and used it on my 2006 F150. Works great. No foot pedal pump, and it rolls around as gracefully as any other jack I've used, but as a no frills jack, I have no regrets.

Too much of this "We are better than everyone else" attitude going on here. The choice to make higher or lower quality products to meet a specific goal is hardly a representation on the quality of the people or a country as a whole. If we really think we are the best country around, then why is...
