This is the exact problem I am having. Too much left to right motion in the nylon block to the steel track. I was thinking about having a new set machined to tighter tolerances. This extra play is causing my lift to bind when trying to lower it. Bad/cheap design by Danmar.

Larry, Ideally something with tolerances of +/- 0.001". I have limited space in my workshop (let's say ~3' x 3' area. I need to leave some room for some other equipment. I also only have 1 Phase 115 & 230VAC power. I would also prefer variable speed control and the ability to upgrade to a DRO...
