The solution was found today through the help of a knowledgeable man at AO Smith. Apparently, AO Smith was the popularity of the compact micro boilers, so they made direct drop in replacement. Exactly the same footprint means all plumbing lined up perfectly and wall mounting locations didn’t...
I have been checking eBay and will continue to do so, but as the cold months creep in and having snow in the yard, I can’t afford to wait long. I’ll be adding a propane standalone unit here shortly to get me by until I can figure out a solution. I had no idea that Seisco had gone out of...
My 7 year old Seisco 11 KW boiler lost the control board this weekend. Seisco was bought out last year by AO Smith and they bought all stock and took over in the customer service department, but are not making or keeping up with stock. So, there are no control boards to be had, very few...
I'll have to get some pics of the "entire" inside now that spring has sprung and I can open the doors. I LOVE the T5HO lights. I can make it surgical bright or just light enough to see what I need to do. I would do the floor with Shark Grit instead of the heavier aggrigate that I used. Mine...
Overall pics? What do you mean? From the outside?
The highest I saw was in February where we had 2 weeks below zero and I kept the shop at 63* That month the electric bill was $210
I went with a product from Sherwin Williams that wasn't the Shark Grit. It came in a little quart white bucket. I went TOO heavy and now the floor is hard to clean. If I had to do it again, I would go with the Shark Grit and go lite. Not to hi-jack your thread, but any opinions on how to...
Whatever the temp is outside has a big part to play in how long the heating process takes. I leave the temp at 45* during the week or when I know I'm not going to be out there. I turn it up to 65* before I go to bed and when I get up the next morning its all toasty and nice.
Sooooo nice to have a warm, spacious shop to work in for a change. Now, it's time to start building the benches. Does anyone have a link to that ultimate workbench thread? I can't find it.
