Mine are in my wrench drawer, but now I realize my torque adapters are in the socket drawer. Now I need to re organize the wrench drawer to make room for the torque adapters!
I ordered protective boots for my fuel impacts and they just showed up today. When the courier pulled up I honestly couldn't think of what he could be dropping off. It had been that long since I placed the order that I had totally forgotten.
My advice to new auto techs would be switch to trucks as fast as you can. Best move I ever made. But in all seriousness, a good attitude is the most important thing. Be diligent, be willing to learn and figure things out. Show that you're eager and capable of getting things done.
Whatever you get, do yourself a favour and get air powered. So much nicer than pumping. Mine is a mac and it works great. The adaptor for International trucks was $20 I think.
A coolant vac fill tool is also something to look into. Fixing coolant leaks could be an entry level task and there's no better way to fill a cooling system than with a vac fill.
My truck is a 7.3. I work on big trucks, at an International dealer. International dealership is a good place to apply if there is one close by to you. Always lots of work on those trucks.
