While this is true, valves still get clogged up on a port injected engine. When that fuel dries, it leaves varnish, and it builds up quite quickly! The heat in a DI engine usually does a pretty good job of keeping the valves clean. That, and the fact that DI engines are exponentially cleaner...

I ended up spending the day yesterday pulling the head. Honda says its a 4.3 hour job to pull the head, replace head gasket, and put it back on. What a load of ****!! That's the flat rate pay for it if someone were going to do it at the dealership.
