You have to submit detailed plans in order to obtain planning permission from the local council. Another body called Building Regualtions are also involved. They make regular site visits throughout the building process to ensure that everything is being done to 'code'. Regards, David:thumbup:

Thanks for the kind words. The permits aren't too bad actually. You have to apply to the Local Authority for formal planning permission and the Building Control Department also have to give their permission. The Building Inspector then makes periodic visits to ensure everything is to code before...

It's not too bad actually to get in and out of. A lot easier than I thought it would be. As for the car it's a 1989 Series 2 Ford ****** RS Turbo. Soon to undergo a mini restoration for concours next year. Here it is out in the sunshine. Regards, David:thumbup:
