    John's Garage Journal: 26" x 32" Brick Garage w/ Car Lift

Subscribed because '67 Mustangs! lol Nice work with the garage! Did you do cabinets anywhere else, rolling tools? Curious where you put your equipment as that doesn't seem like enough storage and I'm looking to find a solution in my shop.

    New garage build.

I would take the re-pouring the entire apron for granted as well :badteeth: Glad to see it is going to work out though! Got any plans for heating / electrical?

starting plans for a 28x28 2 story w/Apartment in NJ

Possibly separate your first floor fixture circuits depending on which side of the garage you are working on. Wall mounted lights would be nice as well, with individual rocker switches or tied in to a separate light switch.

54' x 54' Steel Building with Living Quarters

Consider swapping the washer and dryer to a different wall to help with sound, or insulate both sides of that particular wall as the building goes up. Quiet operation of the laundry is nice and relaxing, slightly too much noise and it can drive one crazy! Consider buying "wrap trim" for the...

    Custom Size Service Door

Just figure out what existing rough-opening exists and order to that size- or bring the rough opening back to standard. FYI, a 72" x 32" is a standard door once you include the jambs on each side and the top.

    "A/C only" mini split?

I think it depends on your "kick-on delay" and how long it take the different systems to reach efficiency. With a wood burning stove, it takes an hour or tow to get max output, then once you kill the fire it continues to put off heat for 8-10 hours. Similarly, you have to look at the same...

    "A/C only" mini split?

Ya. Didn't know you were going with exposed and two units, my bad. Either way, I would say that if the price is manageable, go ahead and add the heat option. It might be nice for those short periods where you need heat but don't want to get a wood burning stove up to full run. Heat for a...

    "A/C only" mini split?

I think it is based on your desires. Do you want to control upstairs/downstairs independently? If not then just put your intake duct in the downstairs and the house will self-rotate. Also, look at air capacity and CFM rates. A rookie mistake in HVAC is to simply consider if the ability to...
