GJ Challenge: All Canadian tool set?

Can Forge is still in business in Welland, Ontario but does not appear to make tools any longer. What is interesting about the Welland Ontario location is that both Gray and Billings once also had plants in that City.

    Cantilever tool box

Here is the link for a thread started a while ago on this subject which includes a post from a member who works at the Kennedy factory indicating that these boxes are (again) made in the USA. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=47393&highlight=kennedy+tool+box

    Cantilever tool box

There was a chap on here a couple of months ago who worked in the Kennedy factory and indicated that they had moved production of the cantilever box back to the USA. Just watch what you are buying.

GJ Challenge: All Canadian tool set?

The yellow handled screwdrivers marked "Gray Canada" are made here. Others are made in the US and some are made offshore. Look for "Gray Canada" on their tools for the Made in Canada stuff.

    Waterloo tool boxes

I'm glad nolatoolguy raised this. Toolboxes are a little bit of a sore point for me because Stanley recently closed the Smith Falls Ontario Beech toolbox plant in order to move production offshore. As a Canadian, quality being equal my no 1 choice is Canadian. For me, if I can't get it...

    Wooden Screwdrivers

Lee Valley sells wooden screwdrivers for woodworkers. They aren't cheap -- a set of nine screwdrivers which include three slot, three Philips and three Robertson (which some of you who are not Canadians will refer to as "Square") each goes for about $42.00. They are made in Japan and steel end...
