Workshop Pencils and Markers - share your thoughts!

I used to carry 2H drafting pencils and a small sharpener in my pocket. Several months back I switched to the Pica pencils and they are now my go to. I work mostly with wood, when I mark metal I often put blue painters tape down and mark with a pencil. I see guys mark with sharpies.... where do...

    Work/shop pants needed.

I haven't tried their work line as most seem too stiff and heavy since I'm in SoCal. But their stuff is pretty bombproof. I have many patagonia items that are over 20 years old and they are still going strong.

    Work/shop pants needed.

I've been wearing these for about 2 years now. They are lighter weight than their "heavy" canvas / denim jeans. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SV3PVXW/?tag=atomicindus08-20

    Pocket prybars

When I saw pocket prybars I thought this thread would be going in a different direction. I've been carrying this little pry bar for a few years now. Its made from A2 steel, keeps me from prying on **** and abusing my knife. I'd be lost with out it.

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Anyone know if a 2nd gen M18 Surge impact is in the works? Mine is at least 6 years old and is acting up. I picked up a gen 4 today and would like to buy another Surge but will hold off if a new one is coming out.

    Multitool? How to buy it?

I originally bought the festool and sold it, as I wanted a cordless. I never really used all the additional accessories it came with. I bought the fein 18V and love it. Kind of a pain to have one charger and two batteries for one tool, since the rest of my cordless stuff is Milwaukee and Festool

    Track Saw - yes/no? Brand?

It kind of eats batteries in my opinion. I have extras, that I rotate if using it a lot. It comes with two chargers and they charge pretty quick. The dust bag the saw comes with works surprisingly well. Festool recently released a cordless miter saw, but I don't think its available in the...

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

I saw this pop up on CL, only one picture from a distance and no price. I emailed asking for a price and it was crazy low, like he forgot to add a zero low. I emailed right back to arrange pick up. He opted to meet at a Home Depot. It was a 45 min drive for me. He showed up with it in the back...

    socket organizers

I like these as they stay stable with a large base https://www.harborfreight.com/14-in-38-in-12-in-multiple-rail-socket-tray-sae-70025.html?_br_psugg_q=socket+organizer

    Track Saw - yes/no? Brand?

I originally had a Corded Festool TS55, I ended up cooking the motor cutting 1 1/2" MDF. I blame it on "dirty" power. I work in the studios and everything is run through spider boxes etc. Festool repaired it for free, and I sold it and bought the TSC 55. The Cordless has more power than the...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

My 105 is from 76, I found it at an estate sale, it had a lock on both sides when I found it.

    Bott Kennedy

Found what I believe to be a Bott Kennedy, I scored it for 150. Very nicely made box, only one drawer opens at a time. Not as deep as the Lista, Vidmars, but a great score over all. There was a bottom plate by the wheels that got broken off, it was too mangled to try and put back.
