older generation ratchet rebuild kits; now available!

You wouldn't happen to have an old 24tooth non-quick release, 3/8 main gear. They are rare as hen's teeth. Thanks, Tony

Walker Floor Jack - Craigslist - Utica New York

http://utica.craigslist.org/tls/2211152731.html Let me preface this by saying that I just found this ad; even though it was posted Feb 12th. So don't get your hopes up, because it may be gone already. I used the search function to see if anyone posted this up before but the terms: Walker...

    WTF Shopvac?

So are you saying that the vacuums are made in China now too? I went and looked at my 3 year old one, and nothing on the tools or hose says China on it. I remember opening the box and in the lower corner it had the Made in USA. So I was always under the assumption the vac and tools were made...

Come on, Snap On, at least put your name on your tools.

I did not include my conversation that I had with SnapOn, because there wasn't much to it. I called the number that Snap-On has on their website. And believe me that was hard enough to find that number on their site. The woman I spoke with told me that I had to contact an independent dealer...

Come on, Snap On, at least put your name on your tools.

I can speak from my experience and the answer is no. I guess Snap-On has been doing this for some time now. Here is my SJ2000 puller set. I would say that this dates from the mid 70's. It was my uncle's and now it's mine. The bearing puller attachment broke, but guess what, it doesn't say...

    Makita MAC700 compressor

It is funny that you mentioned shipping condition: The compressor arrived in excellent shape, the box looked perfect. I think that the variable in this equation is your UPS driver. The box is small, but pretty heavy, (around 60 lbs is my estimate). Purchasing the compressor online, and...

    Makita MAC700 compressor

I own that exact compressor and I bought it online thru Amazon. I can say this is my go-to compressor. I use it for everything. It is even powerful enough to run my IR 231 impact gun. Though, the reservoir isn't really large enough to handle all 5 lugnuts without kicking on the compressor...

oh hell no. let's see your cheater bars

To Snapmom and other forum members: First off allow me to apologize for two things here: 1. I am getting off topic 2. I am re-posting her picture here for the third time. Sorry to get off topic again here, but did anyone else notice the 10" radial arm saw in her garage? Snapmom, did you...

    Wilton C2 vise resto

This is just an idea here, but could you tap the set screw threads with a grease zerk and use a grease gun with alot of pressure to pump grease into the cavity of the static jaw? Someone else could chime in here and explain if the vise body behind the pipe jaw in the body of the vise is...

    Craftsman 150 drill press restoration

Just passing this along, but you may want to reference Eventho's thread here where he completely disassembles one of those units. I gotta say, that is a really nice drill press you have there. Color me jealous. CRAFTSMAN 150

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Thank you, The guy that I bought it from advertised it as a 6", but the jaws only measure 3-3/4". I will just keep looking for a 6" monster like so many in this thread have already. I guess that the big pin that you are referring to is the one on the side that has the 22X casting. It...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

The vise bug bit me from reading all the threads on here. I found an old C_Parker on Craigslist for $40. I think I did alright here. The jaws close perfectly with no gaps between them. The screw turns perfectly with one finger, (it needs lubed though). Thank you mjozefow for the tips on...
