    Matco tool grid toolbox organizers

I believe the original company is Mantis but they link to Matco for sales. It would just make more sense to me to sell universal board sizes for different brand boxes too. I’d have to buy nearly double the square inches I need to do a complete drawer at $130 and end up with useless shapes of...

For those that have this grid system, do you use the smaller tip holder or handle holder pieces for 1/4" and 3/8" drive extensions? From the ones I've seen in pictures, it looks like they use the smaller ones for 1/4" and 3/8" and the larger ones for 1/2".

    Snappy truck or online purchase?

The quote I got was for mostly tool cart accessories. The 2 tools are 39 and 40% off but the whole quote is right at 30% off. At those prices, I'm game. At full retail, I'd be looking more at SK. I'm 41 and have had tools for nearly 30 years. Mostly Craftsman but I no longer buy their...

    Snappy truck or online purchase?

My employer is supposed to have a dedicated Snap On rep that gives us a 37% discount on tools. I’ve been emailing him and should be making an order pretty soon. At full retail, they’re out of my league. At 37% off, I figure they’ll always be worth close to what I pay for them.

I think it’d be a lot easier for cleanup than foam too.

Has anyone tried making these boards out of HPDE? I’m getting a Snap On KRSC46 cart that I’d like to do a couple drawers in. I believe the inside drawer dimensions are 34.75” by 17”. There’s no Matco boards with the right dimensions without having a lot of waste. I can get a whole 48” by 96”...

Lack of Info in Online Ads

I’m looking for a Snap On KRSC46 Roll cart. I’ve been looking on eBay, Facebook, Craigslist and other places. I’d say less than 10% of the ads even list a model number. Half of them don’t even use the word cart anywhere in the title or description. Descriptions are usually 5 words or less as if...

    Penetrating oil test

Shop welder at work removes a lot of broken/rounded bolts. After tacking a new bolt to it, he melts beeswax over it.

A GOOD Snap On Dealer is priceless.

I bought a used Marco 5 piece 1/4” locking impact extension set off of eBay. I emailed Matco, Mac and Snap On (all 3 seemed to have the identical set made by the same OEM) asking to buy a replacement tray. Matco and Mac said not available. Snap On asked for my shipping address and I asked how...

1/4” Hex Long Ball/ Straight Bits?

I have a quick release 3/8” female to 1/4” hex adapter for my cordless ratchet. I’m looking for long bit sets to use with it. Mostly long ball end and straight hex bit sets. Anyone know of a source for these?

some of these tool warranties are lenient

You’re far more butthurt by my posts than I am about Craftsman’s warranty. When I need to worry about putting food on my table, I’ll start selling my tools on eBay and check vending machine coin slots for change. In the meantime, I’ll take my tool business elsewhere.

some of these tool warranties are lenient

If I won’t use what they give me, I’m not going to waste my gas and time to go replace it. I have a bunch of old craftsman teardrop ratchets with the old silver levers. They’ve been junk ever since they went to the black levers. I just won’t use the black lever ratchets any more. I have some...

some of these tool warranties are lenient

So you buy a Buick and pay for full coverage insurance. Your Buick gets totaled and your insurance wants to give you a Toyota Tercel as a replacement. You paid for Buick coverage, why should you be stuck with a lesser quality replacement?

some of these tool warranties are lenient

Probably because the junk they’re going to give me isn’t worth having. I bought a quality tool. The warranty should give me what I bought, not an inferior product. I’ve been buying better brands instead.

some of these tool warranties are lenient

I bought quality American made Craftsman tools years ago. I won’t waste my time turning in any broken tools to be replaced by their current Chinese garbage. The way I see it, they canceled their warranty on me.
