He did apologize that the thickness of the PU was way off. Apparently he was copying and pasting from a previous quote and got the numbers off. I am now waiting for him to send me the spec sheets.
Once again, thanks for the info Armourpoxy; I will check into the epoxy thickness. As for the polyurethane it appears that I misread the quote. It does say one coat of epoxy but then states "topcoat with 80% solids urethane at 10dft anti slip micro bead added" so I will verify how many coats...
Thanks for the reply. The quote specifies a single coat of epoxy at 15 mils dft and a coat the polyurethane at 10 mils dft. Is this reasonably durable combination or should I be looking for more?
I have now read so many threads I think I am going in circles. I had decided to just paint my concrete floor and touch up as required however, after degreasing and etching I was not satisfied with the consistency of the surface and decided to call in a pro to get it done right.
All that being...
I would look up Homelink and see if they have anything. Besides garage doors openers they had recivers to open gates and turn on lights. I have not looked into it for years though.
If possible, try to make sure that the edges of the areas patched are at right angles to the surface (stepped) and at least 3/4" deep. You don't want the edges to "feather" out (i.e. get thinner as it gets closer to the edge of the patch) or it is more likely to break down over time. This may...
