Tnemec Series 222 and 248 for garage flooring

Will the VOC component only be an issue during the curing phase? Long term do I need to be concerned about VOC's?

Tnemec Series 222 and 248 for garage flooring

It is about 800sf and the quote was $3600. I received another quote from a local installer for about $5500.

Tnemec Series 222 and 248 for garage flooring

Thanks for your thoughts. It seems the epoxy is low VOC but the urethane is not. I never really concerned myself with VOC's etc but now that I have a 5 year old who plays in our garage, I need to be aware. Are the VOC's in the MSDS only when the material is in liquid form? Can I put my...

Tnemec Series 222 and 248 for garage flooring

Hello all! It has been quite a while since I have posted. I originally did my garage floor 12 years ago. I did an Epoxy-Coat floor that has done ok but the top layer has failed and ambered significantly so it is time for a redo. I am looking at DIY as well as having a local installer do it...

    Epoxycoat: 18 month review

I think it would be possible that the pros could have done something different. But I can tell you that I took extra time and beyond to properly prep then clean the surface before starting the project. I think probably the two most disappointing things in reading others response to this thread...

    Epoxycoat: 18 month review

Thanks Scotty for your thoughts. Maybe Christine from epoxy-coat can explain why their system has not primer element. Certainly a valid reason as to why I am having adhesion issues. I can assure you I followed the instructions/prep to a "T" so I don't see what I could have done differently...

    Epoxycoat: 18 month review

I agree with the above poster. Not sure it was worth the effort/research/money as I put a lot into all three of those. With that being said, if I have no more peeling, the yellowing is improved with the new clear I would be a pretty happy camper. If I had to do it again I would give very...

Thanks Scotty for chiming in. Likely one step that would have helped at least one of my issues!

    Epoxycoat: 18 month review

Jim B: I am unsure on the primer. Christine was also at a loss when I contacted her. You can see in the pic that there are grind marks there, but just don't know what happened with the adhesion. :(

    Epoxycoat: 18 month review

Hello everyone! I have had my epoxycoat garage finish down for 18 months and I thought now would be a good time to provide an extensive review of the product along with some pros and cons and things I may have done differently. First off, here is the link to pictures and the process I used...

    Direct Lift Pro Park 8+

Hello everyone! I have a couple of questions for those of you that have this lift. I have been researching lifts for awhile and am pretty sure this is the one I am going with. Two questions I have. #1 The website says the clearance between columns is 94" but I see the lifting cables are...

Installation of Dayton G73 Heater with Cutoff Switch and Thermostat

Hi Dustyn, should do pretty well in that space. Again, it will be a little under powered. It isn't gonna bring your space up to 80 degrees but it should be enough to take the "cold" out of the room for sure. Let us know how it works! Chad
