THHN vs Romex - Price the only consideration?

I live in Cook county and, yes, the rules regarding the use of wires in EMT or raceways is pretty strict. Some would say it is a consequence of undue influence from unions or an overstatement of safety. I really didn't give it a lot of thought until my folks moved to Los Angeles and my mom...

    Anybody heard of 'TOOLUXE' tools?

These are showing up on eBAY, and appear to be handled by the same folks that sell NEIKO. Anybody have first-hand knowledge on where they come from? (A good bet is China)

Made in China or Taiwan preference

Taiwan. They have clearly moved past "knockoff/pirate at any cost" and much of what they produce is pretty good. The QC seems excellent. It pains me that Gearwrenches are such nice tools and not made here.

    Neiko USA BS

NK USA and NEIKO USA are the same. Interestingly, you can't find an acutal manufacturer name NK or NEIKO. I am guessing that the Chinese company brands them at request, not unlike Danaher branding the same item as Kobalt or Craftsman or Armstrong. There IS a NEIKO USA that IMPORTS these. The...

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

There are no circumstances under which I would use a product sold at HF that spins rapidly or is under enough stress so that a disintegrating piece flies into a part of my body that does not readily regenerate. Sanding flaps, grinding wheels, die grinders...you get the picture. When your face...

    Toptul Reviews

I have been using TOPTUL sockets for a couple of years. Purchased off ebay. Prior to that, I avoided offshore stuff like the plague. Most of my stuff is obtained used from local sales and is comprised of mostly Craftsman, MAC, MATCO, and SK. I grew up using Craftsman and stick with it mostly...

    My Vidmar purchase

Many LISTA cabinets have a lock-out fetaure that disallows more than one drawer to be open at a time. Yours might have this disabled. Pull out a few contiguous drawers and check the mechanism in the back. That's, of course, only if you WANT the feature to work - personally, I found it...

    Neiko USA BS

I have been trying to track-down the actual place of manufacture of NEIKO TOOLS USA, and as I suspected, many of them are made by Zhejiang Kangle Group in China. They are IMPORTED by a company in Gardena Cal, NEIKO TOOLS USA. I registered a complaint with EBAY regarding sellers' use of USA as...
