If you just want to cut with it go propane. I think it makes a nicer cut and significantly cheaper. If you want to braze with it you want to go acetylene.
Looking at upgrading the exterior lighting on shop and in the yard from a HP sodium and metal halide fixtures and have ran into bewildering array of opinions. I'm assuming that LED would be the best choice but how do you compare the actual light output? I know lumens are the measurement but are...
i own 2 DC gas machines 1 240 volt AC/DC machine 2 240 Migs and a 120 Mig. No TIG yet. What I have learned is for the light material the best is the Mig with gas and then the flux core. If you're in 1/4" up use the DC. The AC will get the job done but DC does a cleaner looking weld. I'm not a...

Shelf daughter wanted for in her bathroom for hair spray etc. I used what we call "snare" wire it's a smooth brass wire to support the shelf and hang it with. The wire comes through the back down the outside to the front through the base and across the front.
It's a little to small for wine 4" deep by 2 3/4" squares I had thought it might be good for makeup or something along those lines. It was more a challenge to see if I could make it so that it would stand up and be on the diagonal. The next on is a knickknack shelf my daughter asked for
I was given a pallet of reject cedar pieces for fire wood and hated to burn them all so I picked out some pieces and made some odds and ends from them. It was challenging to try to use the pieces to make something rather than envision something and build it, you have to look at the piece and...
