What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Izzat a Miller remote TIG foot pedal? Regardless of any other possessions that either of us have, I am so jealous! Not that I haven't spent (more than...) my share on frivolous shop gear, I just can't bring myself for that coin (***** being a cheap squanderer, lol). Nice shop!

    Show off your lifts!!!

Not really a lift per se, but it is a new addition to the shop, and it does support a car (rated at 4500 Lbs)... Titan 4500. I'm stoked! Made short work of removing fifty-four (54) year old undercoating. Also painting the inside of the roof with Chassis Saver (a rust conversion coating).

    Snap-On PGS-1...rebuildable? value?

Power to the PGS1! I used mine for exactly that purpose tonight (while sporting my fitted/molded ear plugs)! Staying on topic, mine occasionally acts intermittent too, and if opening/closing the valve abruptly a couple times doesn't wake it up, then I also disconnect/reconnect it to the air...

    Show off your lifts!!!

I would eventually, that picture was taken less than a month after relocating from Ohio to Florida. It took me over a month to get moved in, unpacked and set up to work again, considering the numerous aspects of moving in and unpacking the house took precedent ;) It would be another whole...

    Show off your lifts!!!

Okay, times up ;) Any pictures yet? That must be everyone's first__and lasting__impression! We never knew what we were missing, and it sure would be hard to go back to working without one. I think the biggest risk, at least for me, would be falling asleep once I got comfortable on the floor...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I put the back end of a car together today; mounted suspension carrier, trailing arms, new Koni shocks with billet mounts, springs and tugged in the axles/ Link to work album: http://spcarsplus.com/piwigo/index.php?/category/435

    Repairing Alloy Wheels, please advise!

I've done a couple of magnesium wheels, the BBS was real nice, suggesting that it was cleaner__more pure__than the Ferrari wheel. I've also done a bunch of magnesium go-kart wheels (these 1960-61 McCulloch wheels were really cast of some trashy alloy). Welding magnesium is...

    Mini-split A/C Shopping...

Well, after 5-1/2 years, that still hasn't happened; 76* in here right now. :willy_nil

30x36 Concrete block Garage with 13ft walls

What a shame to have lost all those build pictures! I sure hope that photobucket tanks for doing such a blunderous move. SMH

    Show off your lifts!!!

Exciting! But that house in the background, why is their grass white and not green...?

    Show off your lifts!!!

Last place I lived had a tandem garage layout, and an Eagle floorplate 2-post had only about 11" per side to spare. The ceiling height was 9'3" so the columns protruded about 1" to 1-1/2" into the space through the sheetrock/joist cavity. Working primarily on sportscars, I could get enough...

Above 1200 Sq/FT Cars, motos, gas & oil and such

I was just going to say that ;) Nice thread about that build; endearing in immediately introducing (with pictures) the former owners, and the neighbor lady (RIP) that at least figuratively gave the green light to the construction project. Good job, ODIS!

    Show off your lifts!!!

Sheltered will have his own reasons, but I suspect__and I've been wrong before__it has to do with the length of the wheelbase for the vehicle(s) you're putting on it. For a relatively short wb front-engine//rear drive sportscar, the asymmetric is ideal; with a BMW M Coupe on the lift, both...

    Show off your lifts!!!

There's hardly a 2-post lift you can buy that's rated less than nine thousand pounds (9,000#), except for maybe those Max-Jack (sp?) portable lifts; I could understand, maybe even expect them to have a lower rating. Almost all lift brands use the max rating in the model number, in some fashion...
