    Craftsmanomania?

I see a lot of replies mentioning nostalgia in this thread. I guess that's the best reason I can think of as to why Craftsman is so popular. For me? Not so much. I'm 42, and I grew up with my dad using Powr Kraft that he started buying in the early 70s. Sure, he has Craftsman. Most people do...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

T100 clutch. Exploded my cheap 3/8 swivel. Now I get to buy a better one.

    Craftsmanomania?

The Craftsman name = $ to some people. It's a brand they recognize and think it's as good as it used to be (warranty, quality, etc) Right around the time Stanley bought them out, I stopped at a yard sale. The guy had several toolboxes full of wrenches, ratchets, sockets, etc. When I asked...

    32nd's inch wrenches

Yep. Was gonna post the same thing. Also, the distributor hold down screws on my jeep are #2 Phillips, but have a 9/32 hex. One of the phillips slots stripped from age and filth, so my 9/32 combo was a lifesaver. Someone mentioned 1/4" earlier. My JD650J is all metric except for the wiring...

USA Danaher tools family tree/ show your USA Danaher tools!

I have hundreds of Danaher tools, mostly Craftsman. This KD black oxide set are the ones I use most. 6 to 19mm. Also pictured are some random Allen, Easco, and Kobalt that I had laying on the bench for some reason. Somewhere I have a partial set of large Easco sae wrenches, but I'm not sure...

    Truecraft Tools

I have a set of their 1/2 dr metric sockets. They're USA made 12 pt, and I rounded out one of the smaller ones. The larger sizes held up well. I used them on tractors and equipment until I bought a 6 pt Tekton set.

Tools Made Or Modified For The Job

Made a castle nut wrench from a saw blade. Otherwise, all I've got are bent or thinned wrenches.

    Powr Kraft 3/4 ratchet repair

My father has an old Powr Kraft 3/4 drive ratchet. After over 40 years of use it's getting a little loose. I was wondering if there are repair kits out there. On the handle its stamped "84H4877" Can anyone point me toward who made it, etc? I'd like to get a kit for when/if it fails.

    Do I need 23mm and 25mm sockets?

I have a concrete trowling machine that is entirely metric. The bolt and nut that couples the two piece handlebar is 25mm. It also folds there for storage. I use a 25mm wrench on one side and a 25mm socket on a breaker bar for the other. Funny thing is, I just bought 25mm for the sole purpose of...

    Switching from Craftsman to SK...

I have a bunch of USA Craftsman. I actually like the 6pt sockets a lot.

The future or not of Lowes Kobalt tools. Do chime in.

I prefer the satin or black oxide, but wont turn down polished. Whenever I see one at a flea market I buy it, even if I already have one. Allen/KD/Kobalt made my Danaher can be had really cheap around here, as most only recognize the Kobalt name (and assume it's cheap junk)

    Gros Manufacturing?

Crazy, right? I didnt find anything on Google either. I searched ebay and found one listing for Gros nut drivers. Regardless, the wrench seems well made. A lot thicker than other brands.
