    looking for black color chips

Just picked up 50 lbs. of color chips from Sherman Williams for $50.00.I bought the 2 lbs. containers to do my floor yesterday at another branch at 15.00 bucks a pop. Those will be going back soon. While visiting the commercial branch I was talking with a guy about my floor and he told me they had...

Armorseal 1000 HS vs. Armorseal Rexthane

Contractor price is around $79.00 a gallon , but if you have a high volume account you can get it a little cheaper. For everything needed to do my 1,200 sq. ft. floor,it ran a little over a dollar a foot. That included the 2 part crack filler, reducer, paint, color chips and clear coat.

Armorseal 1000 HS vs. Armorseal Rexthane

Thanks for the reply.I really had my mind set on the Armorseal 1000 HS and now the rep for SW thinks this product would be a better .When I went to pick up my order,I asked about the color chips, and the counter guy told me that rexthane would melt them.We called the rep and he tends to think a...

Armorseal 1000 HS vs. Armorseal Rexthane

I was wondering if anyone here has a take on the use of Sherman Williams Rexane 1 part floor coating. The Rep says it is more durable than the 1000 Hs but want to get a few opinions before making a choice. It is a high solid, single component, alphatic, moisture cure urathane but supposedly is not...

    10 grit stone

I also got a diamond cup from Harbour Freight. They didn't have any 7" so I had to go with a 4 1/2".It is doing a good job ,but it takes a year and a day with such a small wheel.Pretty much knocked the bark off this slick muther and pressure washed it clean.I found if you keep the grinder moving...

    10 grit stone

Ok kimosabees, I got the Edco floor grinder with the 80 grit and the 10 grit stones and it is a waste of time and money. It would smooth out slight imperfections and remove paint but thats about it.I tried adding weight to the front of the machine(which helped slightly),wetting the floor and even...

    10 grit stone

Thanks Timm, A few people here say don't use the stones and some say it works well.Since my floor is new and hasn't aged I think it might work.If all else fails I break out the acid.

    10 grit stone

My Sherwinn Williams rep came out to look at my garage floor yesterday. He said acid etching would not be suggested due to the slick finish. This is a 1 year old floor with no stains, oil or imperfections.I am going to rent a floor grinder from a local rental place but they due not have a diamond...

    caulking at control joints

Thanks again for the great info.Fred your illustrations were awesome.I wrote Sikaflex and hopefully they will give me some info on their product. Also I will talk with Sherman Williams about polyurea.I poured my slab 5" thick and used pencil rod wire so I don't think I will have too much movement...

    caulking at control joints

Thanks for the info.I will probably be going with backer rod and a polyurethane caulk due to the large temperature changes here in Florida.I usually use (Vulkem) but don't know if it is the right product for this application.Should I epoxy the floor and then caulk or vice versa? The garage is 40...

    caulking at control joints

Hey guys, New to the forum but want to say this is a great site with lots of great info.I recently built a garage and am getting ready to epoxy the concrete with Sherman Williams Armorseal. What cauking seems to be holding up the best at the control joints? I cut the slab into roughly 10'...
