That sounds like a really cool idea, that I would like to make, but I wouldnt expect it to be very springy. Even a single leaf spring could take more than 100 lbs to flex an inch in the middle when horizontal. Cutting it in half could take more than 200 lbs. A pair of them cut in half could take...
