Amazon.co.jp is definitely the most convenient since they handle the shipping and accept foreign payments. Shipping is very reasonable IMO.
However, sometimes the prices on Amazon.co.jp are not the best and don't have more unusual unique tools. Using a Japanese domestic e-commerce site like...
Nepros ratchets actually use the same position as Snap-On for on/off.
Koken ratchets, at least their Zeal series, are indeed the opposite/reverse.
Photo below of a Snap-on, Nepros and Koken 3/8" ratchets set to on/tighten.
The shanks themselves fit well - secure with very little wobble. I would not describe them as loose.
The 'chrome' ring does appear to be plastic but a very hard plastic. It does seem to scratching off the labels on the shanks which is a bit of a disappointment.
I do like the little stubby...
+1 on stocking entire Koken Zeal line.
I know DRPD is mostly bicycle focused but would love to see the full range - including 1/2” sizes for those of us working on motorcycles and cars.
Regardless, so stoked to have DRPD offering a great selection of Japanese brands locally - I’m just down...

Agreed DRPD has such a great selection of different brands. Would love to see more Japanese tools sizes for general use and automotive/motorcycle applications!
Any opinions on Koken Z-series vs 'regular' hex bit sockets?
Looking to purchase a full set of 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 drive metric hex sockets. Can't decide if it's worth splurging on the 1/4 and 3/8 Z-series set. I use a variety of ratchet brands and wouldn't necessarily be paired with a Z-series...
Clearing out some Wera screwdrivers taking up space in my toolbox but aren't being used.
6x Set of Wera Kraftform Plus Screwdrivers + Rack.
Philips #1 and #3 show very minor use on tips. Besides that unused.
$55 shipped for the entire set
Wera 008751 PH #1 x 80mm Kraftform Plus Phillips...
Package from DHL also showed up today with a Nepros NBR390 couple of metric sockets and spinner.
Interested to compare with Koken 3725Z-72T and Span-on F80.
New website is much nicer and great to see a larger product catalog! Looks like they are using Shopify now.
Will be curious if this will replace www.nepros.net website? Orders are still shipping from Japan using the same rates to the USA.
Would love to hear about what it’s like working for a Super GT team in Japan!
Curious if the teams are loyal to domestic Japanese brands or are using American or European tools? I know Snap-on has some following in Japan but assume KTC dominates even in the Motorsport niche.
