    Pioneer mini split install

I think it's just undersized. I went with a 36k in my 25x30x12 and it works well, but anything less would've been disappointing. The shop is has insulated walls, ceilings, and doors and the mini split will hold it at 72* on a 110* day. If I don't run it all day and just turn it on when I plan on...

    Mr. Cool sizing

I ended up with a 36k btu in my 25x30x12 with 2 10wx10.5h insulated doors. I wouldn't want anything smaller. I don't run it 24x7, only when I plan on being out there. It works well. I originally planned on a 24k Mr Cool, but I'm glad I went bigger.

Mr Cool DIY 24k - 1st gen vs 2nd gen

Does anyone here own the 1st gen diy from MrCool? I know a few people have the 2nd gen here. I've been saving up to get the 2nd gen but the price just keeps going up and now I've noticed the price has dropped on the 1st gen. The cost which used to be the same, now has the 1st gen at over $450...

Is this an acceptable location for a mini split condenser?

I think worse case it may have to be loosened from the mount and tilted slightly to allow the top to be accessed. With 12" clearance from the back of the unit to the wall it shouldn't take much to get out from under the soffit. It sounds good to me but I'm not an hvac tech so who knows lol...

Is this an acceptable location for a mini split condenser?

Yes I thought same which is why I'd like to use a wall bracket instead.

Is this an acceptable location for a mini split condenser?

Yes it calls for 24" of clearance above which it definitely would not have under the soffit. It would meet all other requirements though. No leaf buildup. I am in southeast NM so very little snow, maybe 6" a season. The brick wall you see on the left side of the photo is the chimney so not...

Is this an acceptable location for a mini split condenser?

I'm considering the Mr Cool DIY 24k btu mini split system and I'm considering the possible locations to mount the outside unit. One side of my garage faces the alley, and I'm not sure if it's acceptable or allowed to locate the condenser in an alley or not. If not then I'm left with the back...

Remove support post in middle of garage?

Naw, we might get 6-10" of snow for the entire year. Rarely more than an inch or two at one time.

Remove support post in middle of garage?

Appreciate the advice Moose. You may be correct, like I said though it's been a while since I looked and I wasn't specifically looking for whether there were trusses or not. I will see If I can get that ladder and take some pics so we I can be sure.
