Yeah, that is a plus to my Shop Vac 500a! Seems like there is also a lot of fondness for the old Craftsmans. Back in the day, were they considered as good or better quality than the old Shop Vacs?

I got Shop Vac 500a in the early 90s that has proven to be an absolute workhorse to this day. It got me thinking two things: 1. There's no new shop vacs you can buy today that are worth a **** or that even compare 2. There probably exists even better Shop Vac models from that era or earlier...
