I believe that Mahr-Federal is German. They are very good but I have not seen many that can take some of the same rough treatment that I have seen a Mitutoyo take in a factory setting and still work.

I bought the craftsman one when it first came out. I cut angle iron with it and did a pretty good job on it with no kick back. My dad has used it a few times and thought it was great saw.

ProPainter I found the mats you used at Lowes. Seeing how thick they are, what did you use to make the notches instead of cutting all the way threw the material?

Having delt with Loctite reps in the manufacturing field i know that the liquid is better, mostly because it set faster. But the stick form can very strong if you also use an activator which they also have in stick form. Just wipe threadlocker on on side of the fastener and the activator on...
