As I understand it, it's an epoxy paint with a "polyuria" coating. My floor was finished in 2014. There have been no signs of cracking/peeling or scuffing. The floor is warranted against cracking/peeling etc. I had a local company do the application. They arrived in the AM, was finished by 5PM...
I solved that problem by having the guys who coated my floor cover the 5.5" base molding, as well. It creates a waterproof barrier between the floor and wall. I thought of a rubber cove base until they suggested this could be done.
BTW, pardon my dust.......
Hey Guys.....MaxJax update
Initially took more time than I thought to drill the first of the required 10 qty. 7/8 x 5.5 holes. It seems my Milwaukee hammer drill just wasn't up to the task. So, I used a Dewalt SDS rotary hammer drill with a 5/8" bit. It made easy work of the remaining 9 pilot...
Well, related to my post regarding installing my lift......
I purchased a rotary hammer SDS hammer drill off Ebay. The result of which, was able to drill two 7/8 x 5.5 holes in the concrete floor in less time than it took to drill one....LOL!
Am a happy cave owner....
I use an old clothes hamper from my grandmother's house. Works good, but, for the clean ones only. The dirty, are usually not recoverable, so they are trashed. I use a lot of paper towels when warranted.
Hi,
It's the initial install.....
Also, their instructions suggested holes 5.5" deep. The insert is only 4" plus an additional 5/8" for tightening to clamp. Why the difference do you think. It's tough enough boring through hard-**** concrete an additional 1" that serves no apparent purpose...
Mine was on the center ceiling beam between the two parking spaces. When I enlarged my garage. I moved it to the center wall between my dbl. garage doors. Thus far, has been a good location.
Hey Guys,
Am in the process of installing my MaxJax. For those that may have "been there done that". Is there a torque value for the 10 pedestal bolts?
Will check with MaxJax next week, but, thought I'd ask here.
Happy Trails....
