    double deep garage

Mine is also a double deep, 24x40. They are never big enough once you finish building them. lol Three cars a motorcycle and a work-space. Big enough for my needs. Always go bigger than you think you'll need. As far as the pull down stairs, great idea,as long as you dont have to drag a lot of...

    circular saw to cut foamboard?

This is how I did mine and you will dull them. Be patient, I did my 24x40 with foam board. (By the way, it is the best insulator I've used to date.)

    Whole House Fan

I installed one in my house 25 years ago and it worked great for years. A few years ago I installed central air and removed the fan. Guess where it went? Right out to my new garage. I have a 24x40 with no windows and this fan cools it off nicely. So, you see mine served double duty. lol Dave

    Can I plug my 20a 220v compressor into the 50a 220v outlet?

Is the box to go around the unit or is the box to be used for the unit to stand on? I ask this because I have a noisy azz Harbor Freight compressor and was wondering what to do to quite it down. Thanks! Dave

    Does Size Matter?

Hi from western mass. Go to Northern Tool and check their prices. I bought the 45000 a couple of years ago for 399. and I think the price is close to that right now. By the way, my play pen (garage) is almost 1000 sq feet. (24x40) I don't heat it all the time, only when I work out there and it...

Mr Heater horizontal vent problem? Help!

This is the main reason I changed mine and the cost wasn't that much more. Good luck with your system. It is sure nice to work on the cars in a warm garage in the middle of the winter. Dave:beer::beer:

    Mr. Heater Fresh Air Vent

I think I may just check into something like this. I haven't had a problem, like I said before but, am going to be using the garage a lot more this winter. Thanks for all the suggestions. Dave

    Mr. Heater Fresh Air Vent

Thanks for the answer. I just use it to heat the garage when I'm working out there so I think I'll just resort to leaving the door open a bit. Thanks again. Dave

Mr Heater horizontal vent problem? Help!

You'll feel a lot safer with the double wall pipe all the way out. That's the exact same way that I did mine and feel a lot safer. (I started with single wall pipe and changed it right away.) Dave

    Mr. Heater Fresh Air Vent

Need some ideas on my Mr. Heater. It's been installed for a couple of years but, I would like to add some kind of fresh air vent. The heater is a 45,000 natural gas unit and works just great. I simply think there should be some kind of fresh air vent. The garage is 24x40 with a side door and a...
