Okay, so sounds like I need to build some saw-horses and use a table for platform. Any suggestions on how to get my 12' or 16' material to be supported on the ends like the stand does? The miter saw will sit 4 or 5" above the table and I don't really like just having blocks of wood at the ends...

Nice choice of wheels. :) I think I will plan on one large door with outside dimensions being 24 wide. No storage or workshop in the attached garage. Other option is to do no attached garage, and build a bigger detached one later. However, it would be 20 to 30 feet from the house.
