    Skilsaw 857

From the lumberjocks sure (bilyo): It looks like an extra bottom plate. The only difference appears to be a couple of additional holes for something and the outter part to the right of the blade. This would allow cutting closer to an obstacle on the right of the saw. The chrome plated bent plate...

    Skilsaw 857

I have a Skil saw model 857 that I inherited. I've already used it fairly extensively, but I'm interested in knowing how to use the additional items in the photo. It has a second sled and edge guide and apparently a tool to use with the edge guide, but it's not entirely clear how to use them...

I know it well. I lived in New River for two years before moving to Glendale.

I have a 1/2" plywood sandwiched between. I was able to get my inspector to weigh in- he said it didn't matter.

    Cupped header

Good suggestion. It is a fairly detailed guide, but yes, a guide. I'll be using plywood for the sheer walls and lots of nails - and bracing.

Concrete was already poured with anchor bolts. Not sure about the wall jack, but someone else suggested a tractor.

So, any suggestions on how to actually build it?
