Gouge marks on teeth of brand new Knipex Cobra

I'm trying to laugh this off and move on, but it is bugging me. Brand new Knipex 10" Cobras bought off Amazon. The lower teeth have a gouge mark in them like someone tried to grip something really hard. Oddly, the upper teeth look completely untouched. How ridiculous would I be to ask...

No power to wires going to outlet

I'm not sure the brand. It essentially functions as a light switch. However, it must be a circuit breaker as well because it tripped when I short-circuited the wires. It was in the "off" position when I found it and that outlet has never not had power to it. This is the first time I've ever...

No power to wires going to outlet

Alright, Decided I wasn't going to be able to sleep tonight out of fear of a possible fire. At a minimum I had to at least determine what the problem was. I started tracing the wire and it turns out there was a separate switch or additional circuit breaker (or whatever you want to call it)...

No power to wires going to outlet

Strange, isn't it? The breaker ties into 7 other outlets besides this one. All of them work. I'll check again for any GFCI's, tripped breakers that I missed, arced wires, or possibly an inline fuse.

No power to wires going to outlet

They were clamped with a screw. I'll check the next upstream outlet to see if I can spot anything that looks suspicious.

No power to wires going to outlet

I have the diagram on my circuit breaker panel. That's how I was able to test each of the other outlets on that circuit. Some parts of the wiring I can trace. Other parts go behind drywall and I'm not sure if I can access the wiring without cutting out the drywall. I'll take a closer look...

No power to wires going to outlet

As far as I can tell the circuit breaker switches only have a left/right position.

No power to wires going to outlet

Nope, no GFCI's down there. This is in the basement. I checked every single other outlet on that circuit breaker and they all work.

    I appreciate your help.

No power to wires going to outlet

Thanks. If that's the case, is there a risk of a fire starting? Or would the circuit breaker trip again before that?

No power to wires going to outlet

Hello all, I had a faulty electrical outlet and went to replace it. Before working on it I turned off the circuit breaker for what I thought was that outlet. While unscrewing the wires from the outlet, my screwdriver crossed from the live wire to a ground source and there was a huge electric...
