Ideas for storing a small car chassis

What about one of these pallet lifts? Some of the hydraulic units have a capacity of one ton. This would allow me to move the chassis up and down a bit easier. I could possibly roll the legs under my workbench and get the chassis as close to the wall and ceiling as possible. I could even...

Ideas for storing a small car chassis

I was thinking about something like this, although I was considering a ratcheting hoist to keep things a bit safer than just the cleat in case I sneeze when raising or lowering the car. That's a nice little garage. Still trying to keep everything in the garage. The pallet racking could be a...

Ideas for storing a small car chassis

I am trying to use the floor space to park my cars for the winter. Interesting suggestions, I am trying to imagine how the diy lift would work. Those are very neat. I have thought about these, but they have been vetoed. Everything must be inside. This is absolutely amazing! I have a car...

Ideas for storing a small car chassis

Hi 95" ceiling 110" chassis with front wheels. I just edited the post to reflect this info. You'd hope so, right? :D It will be most of the winter. Storage ends up getting awfully pricey around here. The low ceiling height is the problem. If I put it on its end, it has to be at a bit of an...

Ideas for storing a small car chassis

I'm at capacity for winter storage and need a nice place to store a partially restored rolling chassis. The chassis with everything currently attached is probably 4-600 lbs. My garage is entirely sheetrocked and I believe it utilizes a truss system. The trusses are orthogonal to the central...

    MBC Dominator tool box ?

It doesn't seem like there is a locking bar, just a lock on the top drawer. However, it doesn't appear to engage anything else. The previous owner welded a washer to the top to have a bar slide down to keep everything in place.

    Vintage Craftsman Power Hacksaw

Eleven year bump. How do these work for cutting rectangular steel tubing? I'm looking for something to make a number of cuts better than I ever could with a grinder. Would the craftsman/atlas/excel unit handle the job?

    Trailer flooring

Thank you for your reply. Generally antique cars, but also use it to move old car parts and occasionally household stuff.

    MBC Dominator tool box ?

The drawers don’t push in all the way. They probably stay open about 1/4 of an inch or so. Is there a way to figure out why al of the drawers have the same issue without taking it entirely apart?

    Trailer flooring

I have an enclosed trailer with particle board flooring. The flooring is a bit dirty from having rusty and greasy things in it. I was considering installing supratile in it, but was wondering if anyone here has tried similarly and what their results were. Any thoughts or insight are...
