Because they aren't simple contact closures (buttons) like traditional garage door openers. The cabling between the opener and the button is more akin to a data cable.
Depends.
If I was profoundly wealthy, no longer had a use for said lift and my wife was complaining about it being in the way and had a few near misses with the ramps/uprights while pulling in/out of the garage in her $100k car, I would probably darn near give the thing away.
Especially would...
I saw that is a thing.
How receptive are they to doing that? From what I gather it is not exactly legal due to the width of the load.
Lift is about 30 miles from my house.
I was thinking of offering him $1,000-$1,200.
Anybody know what transport/setup costs would be like? I am going to bet most companies won't want to touch it versus selling/installing a brand new unit. More labor intensive (takedown/move/setup) and potentially "owning" any issues with the used...
One of my clients is a big car guy, he is an older guy who is downsizing, keeping just his 32 Ford and his Vette.
He offered me his 4 post lift (Direct Lift PP8s). I know what it cost new (as does he) but neither one of us have any idea how to price it used.
It is about 8 years old and used...
Update: I called the 800 number on their website to see if I could get an update. Spoke to a very nice, helpful woman who was able to instantly check status of my repair, she told me it was completed and waiting to be shipped out. Went to run some errands yesterday morning and a Milwaukee box...
They would be a threat to humanity if they were hawk to ostrich sized.
Mean, territorial little buggers. Amazing to watch though, we have a couple of feeders in the yard.
Funny to see this.
I get 2-3 a year. No opener pull handles to draw them in. They just fly in, go up into the light wells for the skylights and get trapped in there, guess they don't understand down or something.
Gotta pull a car out, grab the tall ladder and retrieve them.
I also get a Robin...
Hi all, been a while since I last posted here.
Like many on this forum, I have a large pile of Milwaukee cordless tools. Recently had my first in warranty product failure. My 1/2" Fuel high torque impact stopped working, just clicks when I pulled the trigger. Kind of funny that it died given...
My 2 8500W have been in service for about a year now and haven't acted up.
Except for one thing. On the 8500W you can program remotes from the wall mount controller. One of the two works perfectly, the other one cycles the door anytime I go into the setup menu and press any button. Wound up...
I have the 4 drawer version of this cabinet that I got from Habitat for $10.
Has most of my corded tools, many of my cordless ones and all my bulk/spare hardware bins in it.
They are heavy empty but are very, very sturdy. Paper is pretty heavy so they were designed to carry some serious weight.
Stuff works great, just make sure your driveway is soaking wet before using and douse the heck out of areas where the runoff water pools (like around your tires) after spraying off. I didn't and now have a couple of permanent rust stains in my driveway from it.
Great garage BTW. I did a similar...
