It looks like there's so little ground clearance you could only drive it on a billiard table :)

Unusual vise but not sure how useful it would be for cutting, drilling etc as the job would be held over the workbench instead of in front of it - nowhere for lengthy protusions to hang down.

The belt tensioner works a treat - I should have made it years ago :)
1" inch bit is probably max capacity and the chuck did slip slightly on the 1/2" shank
- although I was making quite a heavy cut and a larger pilot hole would have reduced the load.
