An I max B6 would charge it I've used mine to charge all kinds of tool batteries. It can be set up for nicad,nimh,lithium,wet,lead acid basically anything g. You pick your type,your voltage and your charge rate.

Question for @hoarder you say that the 12v Snap on battery works on the 9.6 tool with out issues as to fitment? Is this CTB312 in place of CTB100 batteries. I'm asking for my own personal project,if so I need to find a dead CTB312. As to your situation. I think I'd Disassemble a 12 Volt clip...
