what would be good to fill in some holes in the soft top of it??

hi new hear found your board by trying to find some info on my desk and was wondering if you guys can help he find out what kind it is it is all metal and the top has that soft top on it i cant find any marking on it at all there is a spot that looks likes there was a plate on one drawer
