    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT The Hobby Shop - Down in the Holler (24'x32')

24x32 is a great size, because I have the same size! Amazing how much one can put in there, on wheels, and still have plenty of room to do almost anything. 10" sidewalls with a vaulted ceiling allow me to have a 9K lift. My slab is 5" 3500# concrete and I made a 4'x14' area where the lift is 8"...

Above 1200 Sq/FT My new to me 30x50 shop with living quarters.

Best wishes on your "car guy" built barndominium! I built my own shop a couple of years ago and it turned out ok, too!

CMU Curb wall on slab - Questions

When I had my attached carport enclosed, all the cells got filled with 10k/psi grout( the block . layers usually did tilt up structures and used what they had and normally use. No need for waterproofing with that they said, but when I did the floor, I sealed the "curb" too.

50x60x16 with 6x6 posts? and vented soffit?

Soffit area is big enough, but I can't imagine how corrugated metal would let any air in to vent the attic? Where are the openings?

50x60x16 with 6x6 posts? and vented soffit?

Hopefully they add some X-bracing, at least in the corners, for shear resistance. Check out RR Buildings on YT. Best pole barn/post frame builder I've seen! Morton Buildings did a 50x100x20 for my father-in-law in western NE 45 years ago, 3-ply laminated posts on 8' centers, 1' soffits with...

    Jane's House

That's going to make a big difference and I bet you won't miss that view when you can be working comfortably! I really like the color on Jane, but what happened to the yellow? Are the stripes a lighter shade, or just a different metallic added? I inlet a 12K AC/11K Elec heat 240V window unit...

Above 1200 Sq/FT PNW High Desert Shop

Watched the Youtube video, noticed the HD drilling rig and didn't realize it was because of the holes being in rock. Great drone shots!

Concrete- won't dry out and crack apart and you can park anything on it. JMO, even tho it's too late. I don't understand installing girts flat. This gives minimal nailing surface, little resistance to sagging and makes insulation much harder while creating tons of thermal bridges. Maybe I've...

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT "Boxster Bay" Garage (24' x 30')

Ahh, Porsche problems. When I started my mechanical career at a frame straightening/alignment shop, the hardest Porsche problems we had were rusted suspension/fasteners. Not too many plastic engine and cooling sytems parts back then( 1977). We also did complete mechanical work as needed.
