I’d have to measure mine but I think it is 12 or 13 ft from the wall to the beginning of the post. That gives you enough room for a tool box on the wall and enough room to get a engine hoist in there if needed.
The mountain wrenches are great. I use them daily and have only had one start to slip and it’s been used and abused daily for probably a couple years now. Matco, Icon, and cornwell all have what appear to be the same wrenches with different stamping.
I applied the 4500 and 8510 a couple months ago. Once dried it will look just like it did before you applied it. I haven’t used the garage much but I did have a small leak under a car and it just beaded up. I also put some water on the floor and it beaded up.
Snap on is pricey but it’s worth it. Haven’t had any issues with mine and it’s used in a shop. I’ve seen where the otc wouldn’t work due to not being big enough opening where the snapon worked fine . The snap on is also made to easily be mounted in a vise.
You could use a big pry bar between something like a strut or something secure with the caliper still attached and pry against the back side of the caliper and push the piston in a little.
I like the makita power tools. They all make good tools but I have several makita tools and never had an issue. I know it’s personal preference but I like the feel of the makita tools and they appear to be built tougher than other brands.
I have the snap on and highly recommend it . It has the front and side view and takes high quality Picts and video . It's a little pricy but well worth it.
