I'm pretty sure they're made by Rotar, like most of the other Kobalt sockets and Ratchets. It looks just like all of the rest of the Rotar OEM stuff. It also looks a lot like the pittsburgh ones from Harbor Freight, but with a different handle and five times the price.

I know at least some of the screwdrivers are made by Great Neck. A couple sets I looked at said they were manufactured by great neck on the back of the package.
I'm pretty sure most of their ratchets and sockets are made by Rotar because they are almost identical to some of the Toptul...
Grainger has a couple variations of the Benchmade Nitrous Stryker on clearance for $45. Seemed like a pretty good deal to me. They also have some fixed blade Benchmades for $23

Pretty sure it's a screw. I have a few of those ratchets. They're all held together by a small Phillips head screw just like that, except for one that has a snap ring and a torx screw. Be careful removing the screw. It's a small screw and usually pretty tight, so it's very easy to strip out...
