When welding ally CLEAN both pieces to within an inch of it's life and then clean it again. NEVER use a standard wire brush ONLY use a stainless brush that has NEVER seen any other type of metal......... CONTAMINATION is the ally killer Then clean again with acetone if you are allowed to use...
