Thumbs down and zero stars to Oregon electric tools.

Something that I didn't know until recently is that Oregon has a massive line of power equipment parts. Saw chain & bars is what they're known for but just a fraction of what they do.

Thumbs down and zero stars to Oregon electric tools.

Take the battery apart & replace the bad cells. They are usually 18650's in series. Or send it off for repair.

    Quality of Craftsman sure *****!

If you have older Craftsman raised panel wrenches & need replacements or sizes to round out the set, used USA-made on eBay is the way to go IMO.

Maybe I shouldn’t buy cheap tools

My non-reversible Gearwrenches came with the 8mm wrench having a 9mm ratcheting insert. So the open end was 8 & the ratcheting end was 9.

Snap-on vs. Mayhew Pro 150 Line Punch/Chisel Sets?

My 20-year-old Snap On punches/chisels are identical to my 2-year-old Mayhews, right done to the font on the lettering.

NAPA Expo - 10mm socket bonanza

Once upon a time, NAPA branded tools were made by Armstrong & high-quality USA-made. The Carlyle stuff they sell today is so so & imported junk just like every other parts store is selling. NAPA is a shell of what it once was, they have adapted to compete with the discount auto parts stores &...

GP Duo or Tekton Chrome & Impact?

The fact is that sockets do crack & break. Tekton warranty is easy peasy, GP not soo much. I have a lot of GP sets & will NEVER buy another one. Nothing worse than having to buy replacements because the warranty is such a pain & basically nonexistent.

Help identifying Snap On Tool box

That stack of three is relatively new judging by the tubular locks. The last new Snap-on box I purchased was in 2007 & they were still using wafer locks. The closest current equivalent would be the "heritage series" Bottom box KRA4813 MSRP $2995 Mid box KRA4860...

Anyone have a good line on where to buy Evaporust that's cheap?

Homedepot lists it for $23 per gallon.
  13. R

Anyone know what might cause Evaporust to make tools rainbow colored?

Never had it do that. I use it until it quits working. I had a bucket that was so weak I had to leave stuff in it for 4 or 5 days to work its magic. Contaminated is the only thing I can think of. Did you try washing that rainbow off?

    The GJ Sticker/Swag swap

Currently, it is a USPS medium flat rate box. 11"X6"X9" & pretty well full. $14.25 commercial rate, $16.10 at USPS.com or in-person & ships anywhere in the USA.
