    Converting fire sprinkler air compressor?

Hey Mac and all: mine keeps blowing the 40 amp breaker within just a couple of minutes running, never gets more than a few psi... I've already replaced most everything but the bearings in the shaft, and they feel smooth when turned by hand. Any suggestions?

    Converting fire sprinkler air compressor?

Nice and clean, yes, but the head is toast. Still, I'm spending ~$300. or so in parts to rebuild it: one Cylinder, one connecting rod, the valve plate and a rebuild kit. mostly from fleaBay. I think it will be more compressor than I'll ever need, but at least this one is from this century -...

Vintage Air compresso made by "Auto Compressor Company, Wilmington, OHIO

Hello Vintage tool lovers! I am embarking on a rebuild/restoration of my Dad's 1940s vintage single cylinder, single stage shop air compressor. I brought it in from the lean-to that serves as a wood shed outside the shop and plugged it in after years of sitting idle and miraculously, it...
