One way to start is a big sheet of grid paper to show scaled floor plan of the garage and scaled cutouts of your main pieces of gear, benches, saws, grinders etc and shuffle them around on the grid until you like the fit and remaining clear work space.

My WAG is this tool is for holding a pressed in button to keep ya fingers clear of the press. Think of the Levis jeans fly buttons. The recess on the anvil holds one side of the button, the fingers hold the other side and the press works between them. Just guessing

I have a smaller cabinet with a lift up lid and use a cheap gun with the air "trigger" and the media pick up is a rubber hose dropped through the mesh platform, I leave the hose loose and very shallow in the grit so I can move it around WHEN it plugs up.
