Our well had sulfur water as a kid. That well was safe to drink. Just had funny smell u sorta got used to. For drinking water we set a jug of well water out on counter and a day or two later as H2S evaporated put in fridge to keep cold. That water was fine then. Fact way better tasting then the...
No clue on the manufacturer but that light green color brings back memories of being an intern at a local tissue converting mill long since closed. We had six floors of equipment painted similar and copied the paint spec to many drawings as "Dupont Spotlight Green Enamel" which the local...
Well the patent date cast in of Dec 24, 1912 rules out a 312 or 812 having any meaning of being related to a date such as 3/1912 or 8/1912. Too early.
And the 234 on both static and dynamic and heavily stamped tends to remind me of casting numbers not a date. My 104 has a faint 1222 stamped...
Maybe not so much tipping but just moving around slowly from the vibration. But figured securing it up high it's NOT gonna tip either. Not tied into any hard piping on the wall or anything, just a cord reel
Note: My vertical 60 gal tank only has 3 feet while others on here talk about using 4...
My 60 gal upright has a couple of wires up high going to a couple spikes about 5 ft apart to ensure it doesn't tip. Never did bother to bolt it to the floor in the last 27 yrs. It's use in my polebarn is infrequent in my case however.
Some of these ideas where covered in this previous thread on GJ. Likely there are many others

Maybe pcmeiners and I are neighbors, but maybe not... My well is 264 ft deep and also has an iron bacteria problem at times.
But really posting about if you are in an area for having natural arsenic pockets in the bedrock. My area is such and our state DNR has advised to shock your well as...
Smoke,
How about some pics from inside the door of the latching mechanism and the rods that extend through the top and bottom of door. Have had some no label cabinets that was able to trace OEM for replacement of these parts based on studying these and different OEM parts diagrams. The usual...
Stronghold? Nah, not even close. Latches and hinges way too light duty and the doors would not need the extra vertical support shown. Sorta looks like the typical modern "industrial" cabinet that uline and others sell these days. Also those dents along the top would not happen with a Stronghold...
Just coming back to this thread. From that pic not seeing a crank and rack to adjust the table or alternatively the head. Would ask clarification on that. Without it, that seems way high. Btw, just logged on here after following an online auction. Was not bidding on it but saw a 16" Clausing...
Bump. Have only listed this on GJ so far. Also have seen that motor frame size 66 is likely pre early 1950s so somewhat older than my guess above. Runs and drills fine though.
^^^ that's the nice thing of having a wood stove in your shop, even in the summer. Toss all the oily and potential fire hazard rags in the stove and collect them until you fill up then toss in a match.
Been keeping my eye out for one of those semi decent but cheapo asian vises for a weld table...
Forgot one. Some folks claim it makes a good fishing scent and spray their lures with it. Remember one article while living in Texas about fella who had caught multiple 10 lb+ bass outta Lake Fork and contributed part of his success to his use of WD40. Improbable as it sounds may not actually be...
If you are going to double stack them would only leave the wheels on the bottom one if their typical home is like a corner with a surface behind and on one side. Maybe before you bolt things together try a couple long strips of double sided tape as your fastening system. If you start pulling top...
