New to the world of craftsman vintage drill press refurbishment. Bought a 150 from a friend because it was roughly the same age as me and needed some major repairs. Two weeks later I bought an older one on Craigslist for parts but it was in such good shape I decided to refurbish it as well. Two months later they both have new paint and buffed parts, new bearings and a new used spindle pulley on the 150. Just started the motor work but I’m stalled out on removing the pulley on the 150. It’s badly bent but can’t get it off the shaft because the set screw came loose and scratched the shaft. I’m hoping the screeching noise from the motor can be fixed with new bearings.
Been reading Frank Lee’s thread for advice on removing the damage pulley and hopefully a recommendation for an aftermarket replace pulley for part number 18811-103. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
