    Air compressor power remote switch

My compressor is in the attic of my shop. When I built the shop I put a 220v wall switch inline in the circuit. I bought it at Home Depot and it works great. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Heavy duty pull down attic stairs for 12'+ ceiling height

My garage build I used a Werner 12' attic ladder from Lowes if memory serves correct. My ceiling is 12' 6" so I just fabricated some longer aluminum feet for the ladder. Works perfect! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Tell me about your radiant tube system...

I have a 30' 100,000 btu unit. I love it. It makes wonderful even heat and recovers ver quickly. I installed it myself and it was a piece of cake. My shop is 32x50 with 12.5 foot walls. My only complaint is that the tin reflector rattles when it's running. Here's a link to the brand I used...

    Compressor in attic?

Mine is in the attic and I love it. I wired a high amp light switch in the shop to turn it on and have a 110 outlet next to the compressor that's switched on with the compressor. I use the 110 to run a box fan hanging next to the compressor head for cooling in the summer. As far as cold goes my...

32x50 shop build in western colorado

Plans for the Jeep? Hmmmm, keep it running for now. I've had that old jeep for almost 20 years. It's been totaled once and had a frame off rebuild minus the bodywork. I don't do the 4-wheeling that I used to and with little kids and a busy work schedule I don't have the time to make a lot of...

32x50 shop build in western colorado

Thanks! So are you in the Salina UT area more or less? I'll bet the contractors are slim pickings out there. I got bids and they were $30k apart from lowest to highest for the same specs. Hence why I did so much myself. If you're ever in my neck of the woods you're welcome to come check it out...

32x50 shop build in western colorado

Here is some more pictures. The shop is pretty close to being "done" (are they ever really done?). I have some electrical outlets to finish up. I need to hang the door and carpet my office. Some trim work and landscaping outside. I've moved some of my stuff in and am making use of the space. I...

How best to configure a radiant tube heater

Without digging out the receipt I think I paid about $1400 for it. Obviously this did not include running gas line to it or the vent pipe. The forced air unit I was looking at was about $1000. All the research I did indicates about a 30-40% savings with infrared so I figured I'd recoup the...

How best to configure a radiant tube heater

It is a Superior Radiant Products 30' 100k btu. I installed it along the back wall of the shop opposite the garage doors at a 45 degree angle. I used a Honeywell wifi thermostat. I installed it myself and it was not a big deal. I bought it from this guy in Utah. It may be a little farther away...
