My rust bullet floor is done!

Thanks about info on the lift. Will look up Challanger. I checked Rotary Lift, but they are quite more in quality (and price) that I need. What's ALI? Thank you again, Rod

My rust bullet floor is done!

The floor looks great! I wonder which brand car lift you have. I am considering getting one, just for my own cars and truck maintenance (so I do not need a professional type car lift , like Rotary Lifts). Off hand I think 8,000 lbs rating or may be 10,000 lbs. I am in Indiana and could pick...

Legacy HD 322 urethane stays sticky for a long time

I don't know what OP is (but judging on your tone is not something nice) and I am not 6 year old child. i also do not blame anybody else. My last statement is still very valid and reasonable based on my experience, here it is: Well, after 5th day I drove my cars in. I have to admit that I was...

Legacy HD 322 urethane stays sticky for a long time

Here we go again! But I am not going to repeat what I said in many previous threads, and debunked all issues you incorrectly mentioned. One new thing, the shelf life of the first poly I used is (in unopened can) is 1 year.

Legacy HD 322 urethane stays sticky for a long time

Well, after 5th day I drove my cars in. I have to admit that I was quite anxious to see if the poly cured completely (knowing the the last coat of old poly never completely cured and being underneath of the current poly coats. Today checked the floor and THERE ARE NO TIRE PRINTS!! So, in...

Legacy HD 322 urethane stays sticky for a long time

Yesterday was a 4th day after I applied last coat of HD 356VOC polyurethane. I moved in few lighter pieces. Just checked this morning: NO SIGN OF THE TIRE PRINTS ON THE FLOOR! Today we have some storms in the forecast (hail?!) so I will move in my cars this afternoon.

BTW, there is another clear poly, HD600WB offered by Legacy.

    Another Legacy Industrial epoxy floor

Congratulations, the floor looks great! By the way, which poly did you use, how many gallons and did you apply it as a single coat or as a double coat? Tell little bit more about "scrapping with 14" drywall knife" - what is the reason you did that? I had a terrible experience with HD322...

Legacy HD 322 urethane stays sticky for a long time

We had a very warm weather, in mid 80ies both yesterday and today. The floor feels very hard and I brought in few lighter items (like push mower, hose real and small air compressor) - Good news, no sign of stickiness, feel relieved! Plan tomorrow to bring in my garden tractor-mower and the...

Legacy HD 322 urethane stays sticky for a long time

Checked with Scotty, he suggested to wait for 7 days for car traffiic!! Weather is quite nice these days, day temps in high 70ies, low 80ies. I wil start bringing in shelf items today and lighter floor items tomorrow (will be 72 hrs after I put last coat).

Legacy HD 322 urethane stays sticky for a long time

I think your discussion about pot life vs life when the poly is poured is correct. However, please find that the pot life was really 2-4 hrs. At average humidity (of about 75) and with the temp in garage being around 65 deg F the pot life should be very likely 3 hrs. Since I recoated the...

Legacy HD 322 urethane stays sticky for a long time

Thank you K13! I have (24 hrs after the last coat) walked on it. It looks it is curing very nice. However, I am still concern if it will completely cure (so that I can finally drive in my cars. Will check with Scotty if 72 hrs is enough for that. Here is pic I took today.

Well, you have a good point! Will send email to Scotty to get his input. I believe, off hand, the data sheet says 72 hrs will be completely cured for heavy traffic (will have to check again data sheet). Thanks for your following what is happening with my floor, good points and good wishes.
