Got it fixed! See post to Hiball! Mine was one of the two bolt models.

BINGO! SHACK! Problem solved. I loosened both of the side bolts that hold the jack bottle base. Put a BAS (Big *** Screwdriver) between the handle saddle and the top of the base on the right side, pushed down on the BAS, and it rotated up slightly! (end of piston moving up) Took care of 99%...

If you look back up the thread you can see where the "tank" is in the same place as before. There were small tack welds that line up perfectly, plus the two bolts that hold it in place have no adjustment capability. They are either in the hole or they are not. Same with the handle "saddle"...

I tried that. Pulled up the handle gear, rotated it one tooth, put it back down and still had the problem. I rotated it one tooth at a time until I had made a full 360 turn, and each time the problem was still there.
