    Vacuum pump recommendation

Apologies I got incredibly busy over the last couple of weeks and forgot all about my post. Thank you for the incredibly thorough response. Usually I’ll settle for a few simple reply’s all agreeing on the same equipment as my general guide to follow, so i really do appreciate all the information...

    Vacuum pump recommendation

Hey everyone, I’m looking to get a vacuum chamber to use with my resin projects, some silicon molding, and mostly for wood stabilization. I’ve got a couple of chambers picked out, but the only thing I’m a little hesitant about is the pump because most of these chambers on Amazon come in a kit...

    Wood stabilizing equipment

Hey all, I’m wanting to pick up a vacuum chamber to start doing my own wood stabilizing for making things like knife handles. So I’ve got my chamber picked out, the only question i have is whether or not to go with this kit that has a pump included or should i try to source a better pump for the...

Help me finally pull the trigger on a router

You’re not wrong lol I’ve been eyeing this tool for a really long time, and i have yet to see someone who owned it say it’s junk, quite the opposite actually. But since it is a bit older i wanted to make sure i wasn’t ignoring what else might be available. I’ve also seen a lot of people say the...

    Surprisingly disappointed by Zoro Sale

Damn i didn’t even think about the discount for wrightgrips when i was scouring the net for the best price for my 2.0 sets i want to say Zoro piped up but they were way more then where i found and purchased mine. I’ll bet at 25% off that wouldn’t have been the case

    Surprisingly disappointed by Zoro Sale

That’s good info I’ve honestly only looked at zoro for tools and big ticket items, never thought to check them for chemicals. Thanks

    Surprisingly disappointed by Zoro Sale

I know some might disagree but I’m with you, my budget is very limited which is why i put it towards tools so i can keep more of it in my pocket when things break. I’d much rather spend $300 on the tools to fix something vs $300 to a mechanic or a repair guy

    Surprisingly disappointed by Zoro Sale

Thanks for the heads up definitely something i will keep in mind going forward. It’s to bad that my stores (if any at all) keep those sunex sets in the store where i could take advantage of the military discount. As it stands HD is completely even with the metric set I’m after and about $3 more...

    Surprisingly disappointed by Zoro Sale

I will agree with you on the proto tools, before i was very interested in 2 sets of there ratcheting wrenches until i found out that they aren’t not the same style between there metric and sae sets so that was a turn off. Still that 25% off deal would have yielded some good discounts on protos tools

    Surprisingly disappointed by Zoro Sale

So I’ve been waiting for a long time to see the email from Zoro about a sale on hand tools. I usually just delete there emails but after reading though the threads here a lot of members referenced those sales as a good time to grab tools. Saw it first thing this morning and went searching. I...

    Best garage propane heater?

Honestly I’m so glad that i found this forum after using a little mobile propane setup for a couple of winters and hating the noise and condensation on all my tools and walls. Like 58yeoman i went with a bigg max but mine is the 50k size. My garage is a lot smaller then his and even though it...

    Miter Saws - DeWalt DWS779 and DWS780?

After seeing an old post on here a few years back I went with the 779. The specs between both those models where literally the exact same but at the time the nearly $200 price difference came down to dewalts lighting system which the 779 didn't have. Well needless to say the parts to add the...

    Show your oiler cans

A few months ago my grandfather passed and i drove down to his house to help my family clean up his place. My grandfather raised me from age 4 and he lived in his garage practically. I spent many years watching him repair almost anything with vintage tools, and through this process i was...

Help picking a small dual purpose compressor

Basically what I meant was it will be used for airbrushing and other smaller air tool task. I like the idea of having a portable compressor something that isn't a total pain to move around my house. God knows when it comes time to work down in my basement getting my fat harbor freight compressor...
