That looks pretty messed up, if you not ready to spend then the best option fr you would be to fill it up layers of cement atleast it will make it look good.

Well that the right picture there you can built a stove in the block and later on pass the outlet outside from the wall .

I think try to drill it up and later get a gas pipe and then supply it through one end to another .
